Prospecting on LinkedIn is something every MSP should be doing. But doing it manually? Not worth your time. Here’s the simple process I use with Dripify to just build connections on autopilot. It costs $40 a month for the basic plan, which is all you need.
The Goal:
Get those first-degree connections building up automatically. We're not trying to sell right now, just stockpiling connections because LinkedIn limits us all to about 200 invites a week. Start now, worry about the perfect message later.
Here's How You Do It:
Step 1: Get Your Prospect List
You don't need Sales Navigator or LinkedIn Premium for this. Just the basic Dripify subscription. Two ways to get your list:
Option A: Your Cyber Score List
Create a Cyber Score campaign in the Iceberg App by uploading a list of domains that you want Cyber Scores for, let it process, and then export the results of the campaign. The exported CSV has all of the employee contact info for each company which includes the employee's LinkedIn profile URLs. You can copy/paste that list of LinkedIn profile URLs directly into Dripify when creating your Dripify lead list. Easy peasy.
Option B: Use Regular LinkedIn Search
Hop onto the LinkedIn homepage.
In the search bar, type something related to who you're after – like an industry or location. Hit Enter.
You'll see some filters. Click the "People" button.
Now, click the "All Filters" button. This opens up the good stuff.
Here’s where you dial it in:
Locations: Put in the city, state, whatever area you target.
Industry: Pick the industries you want (accounting, law, manufacturing, HVAC...).
Title (under Keywords): This is key. Type in the job titles you want to connect with –
Partner
,CEO
,Founder
,Owner
,Manager
,Director
. Think about who buys from you.
Hit "Show results".
Super Important: Look up at your browser's address bar. Copy that entire long URL. That link has all your search filters saved in it.
Step 2: Set Up Your Dripify Campaign
Get your Dripify account going or log in if you already have one. Click here to create your free trial account with Dripify.
Click to start a new campaign.
Adding Leads:
If you used Option A (Cyber Score): Find the upload CSV option and pop your file in there.
If you used Option B (LinkedIn Search): Look for the option, "Import from LinkedIn search" or "Import via URL". Paste the URL you copied right into the box.
Let Dripify grab the list, then save it.
Building the Campaign Sequence (Keep it Simple!):
You only need one step in this sequence: "Send connection request". That’s it. I recommend starting with no follow up messages because it is too easy for you to spam people. No one wants to be pitched so avoid that all together. For now, just send the connection invite.
CRITICAL STEP: When you configure that connection request step, leave the message box completely BLANK. Seriously, no message. Just send the invite straight up. Don't tell them about yourself or your company. They really don't care. You haven't earned their trust yet. No one wants to know that "you specialize in IT for XYZ industry." That's what all the spam bots say to them.
Setting Your Limits:
Go into the campaign settings. Find where it talks about daily limits.
You want to set the "Connection requests per day" limit to 20. That’s the magic number to stay safe and consistent.
Launch it!
Double-check you've got the blank message and the 20/day limit.
Hit that launch button.
Step 3: Set It and Forget It
That’s basically it. Dripify will now run in the background, sending out those 20 blank invites every day to the people on your list.
You don't need to babysit it. Remember, the goal right now is just stockpiling those connections.
I turned mine on three years ago and haven't turned it off. Just let it build that asset for you.
Why This Works:
Because everyone gets that 200 invite/week limit on LinkedIn. By starting now and running this consistently, you build up a huge list of people you can actually talk to later when you do have that great webinar or offer ready.
🥞 So, get this set up. It’s the easiest win for LinkedIn prospecting. Then, once you start seeing connections build, we can talk about what to say to them. But first, just turn Dripify on and start stockpiling.
